Best in Digital Media 2015
he results are in and the super competitive
LMA 2015 Best in Digital Media contest has
named its winners. Judges from the Donald W.
Reynolds Journalism Institute praised the coverage,
design, graphics and organization seen throughout the
entries and were especially impressed by the unparal-
leled local news found consistently among the entries.
Shaw Media led the overall award count with
19 awards. They were followed by Observer Media
Group and Metroland Media, each with 14 awards.
GateHouse Media and Federated Media rounded out
the top company winners with 7 awards each.
There were a total of 19 categories represented in
the 2015 Best in Digital Media Contest and full results
are now available at www.localmedia.org/contests.
A big shout out to the folks from the Donald W.
Reynolds Journalism Institute for judging this con-
test and for their very thoughtful comments on the
entries, and to Newspaper Toolbox for hosting the
online contest platform.
Awards will be mailed to the winning newspaper's
publisher and winners will be recognized at the LMA
Local Media Innovation Conference and Tech Expo
in Denver beginning September 30th.
